Just after the big bang, the universe was completely shapeless, filled with matter and energy, but irregularities were born, which became atoms, suns and planets... Within the primordial soup on Earth, indistinct molecules regrouped into bacteria, to become life, animals, humans... Tempest recreates the noise and fury of these original maelstroms to search for the source of form, to search for other forms. An audio and visual performance, Tempest combines Franck Vigroux's analog instruments with Antoine Schmitt's visual algorithms to create a true system-universe of pure chaos, seen in the movements of millions of nanoparticles and heard in the roar of the air. By manipulating the forces internal to this chaos, the performers give birth to sonic and visual forms that develop over time, in more or less stable, more or less legible ways.
