The research project "Digital Art and Posterity" aims to contribute to the long-term sustainability of digital creation by producing a textual description of the works. It aims to model this description in terms of the form, functioning and discourse issues of the works. This model of artistic, aesthetic and technical description takes into account the theoretical concepts of the artists, in relation to their artistic intention. It describes the evolution of the works as the creation process unfolds, as well as their reception with the public. It also integrates the missions and know-how of the institutions collecting the works. From the question of method to that of the life of the work, the colloquium offers an overview of the delicate question of the posterity of digital art.
