About

Valérie Hasson-Benillouche founded Galerie Charlot in 2010 with the goal of promoting innovative contemporary art practices. Sensitive to artistic experimentation, Galerie Charlot explores the links between art, technology, and science.

With her avant-garde approach, Valérie Hasson-Benillouche created a space dedicated to contemporary art, where her expertise in digital art brings together artists, collectors, and scientists. Galerie Charlot’s schedule is filled with conferences and performances on digital art and its role in contemporary art. The gallery showcases emerging, mid-career, and established artists.

Through partnerships with galleries, institutions, and curators, Galerie Charlot expands its international influence, participating in festivals, off-site exhibitions, round tables, and fairs in Paris, Basel, Brussels, New York, Miami, Chicago, Montreal, and more.

Valérie has been part of the SIGGRAPH Paris Reflection Committee, the Nemo Festival, and the Foundation for Digital and Numeric Humanities (FHDN). She has also served as a jury member for Arcadi and the Laguna Prize Venezia.

Today, she develops specific projects with companies such as Hermès, Société Générale, Audemars Piguet, Oddo Bank, C21 Hotels, and Shiseido. Valérie also advises private collectors on contemporary art acquisitions.

In 2023, she co-founded MaraisdigitARt with Kim Départe, an association offering augmented reality art tours in historic neighborhoods of various international cities.

Valérie and her team are dedicated to advancing digital art within the contemporary art scene. Galerie Charlot has been a member of CPGA since 2012.
