Antoine Schmitt at Mapping Festival Geneva. City Lights Orchestra is an open visual symphony for the windows of the city; here, for houses and buildings in the neighborhood of HEAD. At night, each computer connected to the Internet lights the window of the room where it is (bedroom, kitchen, living room ...) and blinks, pulse, beats, turns on and off, each according to his own score, but in rhythm with all the others. All inhabitants can participate at any time: the symphony is composed to accept an unlimited number of participants and never stops. It recomposes itself indefinitely, according to a living score generated from a musical DNA of departure. Viewed from the outside, the buildings form the orchestra: both performers and spectators of the symphony playing, the time of the event.
