My1st - July 2026 Edition

To conclude its exhibition season before the summer closure, Galerie Charlot is pleased to present a new edition of My1st, a collective exhibition conceived as an invitation to take a first step into the world of contemporary art.

Rooted in a spirit of transmission and openness, My1st brings together artists whose practices explore the intersections of technology, perception, memory, and imagination. Through a selection of accessible works, the exhibition highlights the idea that an encounter with art often begins with a simple and immediate emotion: an image that captures the eye, a form that sparks curiosity, or a sensation that lingers long after the experience.

Designed for both newcomers to contemporary art and seasoned collectors, My1st embraces the belief that acquiring an artwork is not the culmination of a journey, but often its beginning. Every collection starts with a first intuition, a moment of curiosity, or a personal connection to a work that naturally finds its place in one’s life.

Faithful to this vision, the exhibition presents a selection of works offered under conditions that make collecting more approachable. By helping to remove some of the barriers traditionally associated with the art world, My1st affirms that art can be experienced, appreciated, and collected without prior knowledge—simply because a work resonates on a personal level.

This edition features works by 11 artists. Working across digital media, visual experimentation, and contemporary forms of expression, these artists create a dialogue between innovation and sensitivity, technology and poetry.
